News : Miley Cyrus Crashes iTunes Top Spot With 'Wrecking Ball'
Miley Cyrus and her Wrecking Ball have stormed the UK iTunes Chart.
The 20-year old singer topped the countdown with her latest single just 24 hours after going on sale and is currently beating the likes of Eminem, The Saturdays and Conor Maynard.
Mi-Cy's nearest competition for the coveted No.1 spot is Em's Berzerk - which briefly reached the summit earlier on Sunday (October 6).
Maynard's R U Crazy - which is the first cut to be taken from his second studio LP - is currently in third place, while The Sats are at No. 5 with their new single, Disco Love.
OneRepublic's Counting Stars - which beat teen dreams The Vamps to the top spot yesterday - have fallen to No.4 in wake of this week's new entries.
Following the success of Wrecking Ball and former No.1 single We Can't Stop, Cyrus is due to release her new album Bangerz this week - which also features a collaboration with Britney Spears.
Miley - who hosted SNL this weekend - has also revealed she's already started working on the follow-up to Bangerz, with QMI quoting her as saying: "Everyone thinks I'm crazy, but that's just because I have so much to say.
"I'm already at a different time than I was when I finished the record. I'm working so much [that] I'm so disconnected, I feel like, from life. But, then I wonder if it's me that's disconnected? Because when I go home I see people, I'm like, 'What are you doing'?
"I need something to work for, but that's just how I've always been. And some people just aren't like that. And I think when you have the drive, that's why I've been able to be successful. "
She added: "So, that's literally all I think about. But that's fun for me. That makes me happy."
