About Swift Hibernian Lounge
Here's an alehouse that feels like a home. Aside from murals depicting boisterously bucolic scenes penned by its namesake, Swift's pub appeal is refined to the basics. The front room is as nooked and crannied as you could desire, with a winding bar yielding several "best seats in the house" as well as a wide selection of impressively esoteric beers. An expansive yet cozy back room—aesthetically, a cross between a church (there's an actual pulpit in back, containing high-tech DJ equipment) and a mead hall out of Beowulf—helps maintain a civilized crowd density.

Swift Hibernian Lounge Review By Meghan A : New York, NY
Ahhhhh Swift is amazing. First of all, I love that they made me google "Hibernian" (it means relating to Ireland!) and I love that I now have a new adjective to describe my ancestry. COOL MAN.

They have a very large list of whiskey, but also a huge selection of beer, wine, specialty cocktails for around $10, a full bar, and food menu. The bartender was attentive and friendly. However, I really really like the atmosphere here. It's dark with thick wooden plank floors, chandeliers, high ceilings, Jonathan Swift paintings on the wall, and plenty of space.

The music is exceptional too. In our sitting, we heard The Velvet Underground, 60's classic "She's Not There", and "Guns of Brixton", which is probably the silver medalist for best song on the masterpiece, London Calling. (For the record, the title track gets the gold).

They've been around since 1995, and with a focused, easygoing, and all-encompassing attitude, I can see why.
