Who Is P9?
Named after the Posto 9 a well-know hangout spot in Rio de Janeiro's coast, the P9 combines the easiness of the carioca lifestyle, the nature and sports to the outdoors and the passion of four boys to music. Through music, they explore their vocal capacities with instruments like piano, acoustic guitar, drums, bass guitar and ukulele creating a lively and light sound.
“Scream, Shout turn it out, feel in' what you all about / you can make the energy light up where you are / Fast, Slow make it go anyway you want it to …”, sings P9 in “My Favorite Girl”. The track is marked by a dancing beat and rhymes telling about a simple romance carrying a somewhat transgressive and humble passion.
"My Favorite Girl" also is part of the international soundtrack of Salve Jorge soup opera from TV Globo (Brazil). Produced by Venus Brown - who already worked with Will.i.am, Justin Timberlake, John Legend, Mary J. Blige among others - in partnership with Timbaland, the music has its composition signed by Brown and Keithin "Mizzle" Pittman.
